Gino Blasini Gino Blasini 6'2" | 195 lbs | DB Kirtland | 2024 State OH has stepped up for an already good defense to lead the way with his playmaking abilities. An instinctive player who has the physical tools to disrupt passes in the second and third level, Blasini shows above average footwork to get into position ahead of passes. His best weapon on defense is his closing speed to crash down on passes at the last moment to get the ball away from its target. Showing improved strength leading to bigger hits on defense as well as better ability to finish off tackles. He has impressed this season even more on offense as an elusive runner with the ball in his hands. Has an effortless stride to gain yardage quickly and has the balance to shift his body to work towards open space. His big size at 6-foot-2 gives his quarterback a large target area to throw to with good success. Is able to absorb contact with his big frame and fight for extra yardage. His coaches have worked Blasini into the offense anyway they can with opportunities in the backfield as well. With his recruitment fully open, Blasini is gaining strength in the first half of the season and has schools noticing.
