Gabriel (Gabe) Blackburn is a distinctive prospect. Although he may not immediately appear to fit the mold of an interior defensive lineman, he possesses all the qualities of an elite player in that position. Gabe plays with excellent pad level and consistently finishes all of his plays. There are moments when he makes plays that you wouldn’t expect from a three-technique lineman, demonstrating that he never gives up on a play. I expect Gabe to add healthy weight during the offseason to better acclimate to his role as an interior defensive lineman, but I wouldn’t be surprised if the coaching staff moves him around to find the best matchups next fall.
