About Evan

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I’m a junior safety at Harrison High School in Kennesaw, Georgia, known for my instincts, ball skills, and ability to make plays in the secondary. This season, I’ve recorded multiple interceptions by reading quarterbacks effectively and reacting quickly in coverage, showing strong football IQ and awareness. I take pride in being disciplined in both zone and man schemes, and I step up for runs also

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’d say I have a focused and competitive mindset. I take pride in staying calm under pressure and doing whatever it takes to help my team. I’m always looking to improve, whether that’s watching film, working on my technique, or learning from coaches and teammates. I try to lead by example and bring good energy to the field. Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Coding, Mock Trial Club, Stem Club

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Football has definitely helped me grow a lot, especially when it comes to leadership and teamwork. I’ve learned how to communicate better, stay accountable, and support my teammates no matter what. I try to lead by example, staying focused, working hard, and keeping a positive mindset even when things get tough.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Yeah, one of the biggest challenges I’ve faced was not being able to play football during the COVID years. That time was really tough because the sport has always been a big part of my life, no just physically, but mentally too. Not having practices, games, or even team workouts made it hard to stay motivated and connected. I missed the structure, the competition, and the bond with my teammates.

What type of college are you looking for?

I think I’d be a great fit at a college that values both academics and football because I’m disciplined, team-oriented, and have strong leadership qualities. I’d probably do well at schools with competitive football programs that focus on developing players and building character. That might mean looking at solid FCS, FBS or Division II
