DJ Huggins DJ Huggins 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Harrison | 2027 State GA is one of my favorite players in the 2027 class in Georgia. He has several FBS offers under his belt, and it’s a matter of time before P4 schools get involved. Huggins is an all-around elite, fluid athlete who can change direction, sink his weight, and explode. His short-area quickness and verticality are the best parts of his game, helping him create after the catch, quickly reach his top speed, and play above the rim. I would imagine that P4 coaches are waiting to see if he can pack on weight, which he absolutely has the frame to do. I am expecting it to be another busy offseason on the recruiting trail for Huggins.

5’11 155. Plays bigger. Excellent bounce, consistently rises up and wins over top. Plucks ball away from body. Impressive initial quickness off the line to find top speed. Really loose in his routes, unpredictable. Impressive burst in open field. Finds creative stop/start, and hurdle ways to evade tacklers. Plenty of room to grow. Real underrated. Holds FBS offers. Every FBS personnel member I’ve talked to has been extremely impressed.

If Huggins impresses me in person, I think I’ll stamp him as a P4 graded WR prospect. He might even pop a few of those offers before I can see him in person. He comes in at a long 5’11 165 with room to grow. Plays much bigger than listed, thanks to his leaping ability. He can climb the ladder and play above the rim. He also tosses some hurdles at defenders going low for tackles. Really impressive short-area quickness. Shifts from a receiver to a runner freakishly quick. He is quickly becoming one of my favorites in the 2027 class.

Another D1-caliber receiver from Cobb County who now comes in as the No. 9 WR prospect in the state for the 2027 class, Huggins may not be the biggest pass-catcher in his class, but he shows great hands, elusiveness, outstanding change-of-direction, and plenty of speed that makes up for his possible lack of size. However, he does look bigger on film than his 5-foot-11 160-pound frame indicates. He’ll play his junior year at Harrison and has a chance to light up the stat sheet in a big way in 2025.

Productive sophomore who will play his junior season at Harrison. Holds an offer from Georgia State. Comes in at 5’11 155, plays much bigger. His long arms and impressive bounce allow him to rise up and win jump balls consistently. Elite short-area quickness. Finds his top speed in a hurry. Really impressive burst. Maintains speed to run away. Shifty in space and is capable of hurdling tacklers around his feet. Loose route runner who is unpredictable. Plenty of room to add weight. Will be battle-tested against better comp this fall. A clear P4 WR prospect who should have a big spring.

A dynamic pass-catcher who has all the makings of a top prospect, Huggins is a lean, athletic wideout who can get open consistently and make a play on the ball. He brings good size, strong hands, and big-play ability, catching 43 passes for 780 yards this fall as a sophomore with 10 touchdowns. After a giant 2024 season, look for Huggins to see some impressive offers come his way in the off-season. He was an easy addition to the 2027 rankings and has a chance to be one of the state’s best over time.
