Washington is another D1 graded RB still on the board after the early signing period. Washington is a true thumper with his stout, heavy mass frame. It’s good weight too. He is an explosive puncher through contact and is capable of decleating defenders in an alley. He builds up a lot of momentum downhill and is almost guaranteed to fall forward at the end of runs. Washington would be another early call for me at a D1 school looking to close out my high school class.
Washington has been a fun watch at RB for Harrison over the last few years. He is the definition of a bruiser, built with broad shoulders and a thick physique into his 5’10 205 frame. Washington is explosive and strong through contact, packing a strong enough punch to launch defenders off their feet. He has enough downhill explosiveness to generate enough momentum to fall forward at contact. Washington is a D1 runner and has massive steal potential..
Extremely strong, well-built RB prospect. More of a bowling ball and thumper than anything else. Gets going downhill and is extremely difficult to tackle. Has the horses under the hood to drive piles and explode through contact. Durable, has mass to consistently absorb blows. Has just enough burst and foot speed to change direction and set up defenders in an alley. He is picking up some positive recruiting attention this offseason and is someone who could have a big spring as college coaches roll into town.
The Harrison Hoyas had a fantastic 2024 season last year and a big reason why was due to the play of their running game. Washington, the team’s leading running back rushed for 571 yards and eight touchdowns during his strong junior season. Washington brings above-average speed for a back that runs with power. He brings a muscular frame and knows how to bounce off defenders and rage them an extra yard or two at the end of runs. He’s one of the top returning backs in the country and is likely going to see even more carries come his way as a senior next fall.
