‘s recruiting has grown quiet in recent days, with his last offer coming from Minnesota in September. Ball State jumped into the mix for his services, offering earlier this week on April 11. Reyna is a big-time linebacker for the defending 2A state champs, and at 6-foot-1, 225 pounds, possesses good size and strength for the position.

Reyna has continued to develop into a reliable player with good upside for Andrean. Friday was no different as he led the defense. He’s become the leader for the defense as you’d expect in the middle. He’s hard-hitting and has no issue playing the run. He ended Friday night with 15 tackles, 2 TFLs, and a blocked field goal.

is a hard-hitting linebacker for the Fighting 59ers and will be a huge presence as he seeks to lock down a tough Brownstown Central ground game. Reyna is not as big as most Division I linebackers, but teams such as Minnesota, Purdue and Rutgers have recognized his instincts, speed and ability to thump ballcarriers and wrap up in space.

Multipositional, versatile player. Strong sophomore linebacker who hits, runs, and moves well in space. Good blitzer who shoots through gaps and quickly reaches the quarterback. Also a tough ballcarrier on defense.

Reyna’s 2nd year on Varsity has simply built upon his Freshman year. He’s coming from another good performance in the sectionals matchup against Wheeler. He had a game-high 8 tackles, 2 TFLs, and 1 sack on the night as they completely stifled Wheeler’s offense. I think Reyna is right on track and developing as he should.

The northern Indiana school has produced several great prospects like Notre Dame’s Drayk Bowen. Reyna holds offers from Toledo and Miami-Ohio, but more is likely to come for the 6-foot-1, 210-pound linebacker. Reyna is strong v. the run, very instinctive and effective at shedding blocks. Expect business to pick up for him very soon.

The development for Reyna week in and week out is fairly clear. Not only is he gaining confidence week after week but he’s eliminating mistakes and becoming more productive. With multiple weeks over double-digit solo tackles, Reyna is getting a good feel for the defense and what he’s asked to do. He’s asked to play quite a bit of downhill ball and push the line. With 15 tackles on the night, it was his most complete game to date.

Seems like we keep talking about Andrean High School – located in Merrillville, Indiana, right outside of Chicago – more and more on the recruiting space. The private, Catholic Division 2A competitor has been pumping out talent at a notable clip as of late, and already has a 2027 hot on the FBS scene in 6′, 210 lb. LB/RB Ethan Reyna. A varsity starter in 2023, Reyna transferred the on-field success to the offseason camp trail, as a camp performance at Toledo and Miami (OH) both netted offers from the FBS host. The 210 lber. also competes in track and field and holds a 3.7 GPA. He shoots gaps, can execute twists, and changes direction well when finding seams and avoiding blocks as an OL as a blitzer, and is a strong tackler who also contributed as a notable asset in the offensive game as a RB/HB. Reyna does a good job of working through traffic, evading blocking attempts, and scraping across the LOS in pursuit, shows solid pursuit speed and a noticeable motor, and avoids and gets off blocks well, showing the ability to beat blocking attempts in a variety of ways. Everything about Reyna’s play screams upperclassman as opposed to a rising sophomore, and it’s safe to assume the eye tests and athletic benchmarks are being hit in-person and live for FBS schools to pull the trigger so early. Fun name to watch out of Indiana and their budding 2027 class.
