Andrean faced a stout test in Week 1 against Merrillville, which moved up to Class 6A, and lost the game by a 27-21 margin. Still, the Fighting 59ers proved they have the goods to reach Lucas Oil Stadium once again thanks to Class of 2028 wide receiver and athlete Gavin Helpingstine. Helpingstine is a solid receiver who can high-point the ball and win one-on-one battles with his athleticism and playmaking ability. He had five cathces for 101 yards with 143 all-purpose yards. Keep an eye on the 59ers to make a serious run.

This past year Helpingstine had 377 receiving yards, 5 receiving touchdowns, 2 punt return TDs, and 800 all purpose yards.  Legit return threat that can take them to the house.  Knows how to use his size as a perimeter pass catcher against smaller defensive backs.

Helpingstine intrigues me so much on the field, that I can’t help but throw him up here. His speed, ability to create yardage with the ball in his hands, his ability to return kicks, and make guys miss is second to none. His ranking here is strictly about his potential and what he can develop into. The tape that I just pulled up is some of the most entertaining tape I’ve seen in a minute. He’s a bit raw in the route tree and outside, but if he can develop and produce on Fridays, he’ll skyrocket overnight in the recruiting world.
