I think we can expect big things from Tarver this upcoming season. He’s a talented back who’s produced a ton for his team’s offense. There’s a lot to look forward to next fall.

Tarver picked up a new offer from Alabama State a few days back. I won’t be surprised if more schools hit him up soon. He had an incredible year last fall and deserves some more recognition.

Tarver blends power with efficiency, consistently getting the most out of his carries. He runs behind his pads, absorbs contact, and keeps his feet active through traffic. When drives need to be finished, he’s the one getting the call.

There’s a steady tempo to his game—he doesn’t rush reads, but once he commits, he’s decisive. His ability to finish runs late and convert in key situations makes him a reliable presence in the backfield.

Tarver blends power and finesse into a complete backfield weapon. A plus-sized back with nimble feet and one-cut explosiveness, he’s proven capable of punishing tacklers or slipping through tight creases for chunk gains. Averaging 6 yards per carry and 80 per game, Tarver has been a model of consistency and late-drive toughness, finishing off possessions with effort and determination especially in the redzone. Tarver is a massive threat on the ground. I’ll be interested in seeing how Opelika’s defensive front performs against him. He can turn upfield for huge gains at any given moment.

In a huge 47-0 win, Tarver did a lot with a little- recording only 9 carries for 120 plus yards and 2 TDs on the ground.

Tarver went off in his team’s 35-6 win over JAG last Friday night, racking up 9 carries for 114 yards and one TD on the ground. Tarver was explosive in every sense, carving up JAG’s defense all four quarters.

I hadn’t watched Elijah Tarver Elijah Tarver 6'1" | 200 lbs | RB Carver | 2027 State AL before this weekend but man did he impress me, he’s a highly athletic 2027 with a ton of upside on both sides of the ball both at RB and LB. Tarver spent the day at camp competing at RB and really caught my eye- he plays with a ton of speed, has great size, and can easily make defenders miss- it’s impressive to watch. Tarver put together a great season last fall, on defense he’s a dominant run defender- consistently flying downfield to fill in lanes, fight off blocks, and take down the ball carrier. Offensively, Tarver made the most out of every carry- he’s incredibly quick, plays with great speed, and is a massive threat in the open field, coming away with some massive plays on the ground. Tarver produced a lot for Percy Julian on both sides of the ball last season, ending his sophomore year with 28 carries for 222 yards and 3 touchdowns on the ground, 5 receptions for 106 yards through the air, and 67 total tackles (6 for loss), 2 sacks, and one INT on defense. Tarver is absolutely going to be on our radar this fall- he left me seriously impressed this past weekend at RB but has so much potential on both sides of the ball- it’s going to be fun to watch him as he heads into his junior year!
