Dowan Coachman Dowan Coachman 5'10" | 190 lbs | LB Moore Catholic | 2023 State NY built off of a really solid Junior season and showed why he is one of the best linebackers in New York. Coachman does a great job of fighting off of blocks and making plays within three yards of the line of scrimmage. Coachman is a tackling machine registering 113 tackles and 4 FF on the season to go along with 7 TFL and 2.5 Sacks. Coachman is a high motor defender and moves so well in tight spaces. He lacks the ideal size for a linebacker but his skillset is incredible and Coachman has gotten some recruiting recognition this season and just picked up an offer from Denison.

The hard hitting linebacker led the Mavericks with 113 tackles and anchored their front seven at middle linebacker. When blitzing, Coachman powered past offensive lineman religiously. He had good body control and forced a good amount of turnovers for a Mavericks defense that faced some great offenses all year.

Coachman has great athleticism and solid size for a linebacker and he made his presence known against St. Francis. Coachman helped the Moore Cathlic defense hold the St. Francis offense to only 7 points.
