Last year’s Linebacker MVP at the spring PRZ Next Middle School event, Cancel had another very good showing at this past weekend’s combine. I saw him play live in the SportzFarm tournament during Easter weekend and loved his physicality at the padded event. At the combine showing he did well in short distance drills, but did crossed up a bit during coverage drills. He’s absolutely a Middle Linebacker and covering scat backs in the flat shouldn’t typically be his normal responsibilities. However, with how big he is, continuing to work on his speed and quickness will be important. The talented Garden State Linebacker will be attending Moore Catholic in Staten Island, New York this fall.

Cancel is a reclassed prospect out of the Jersery Shore, but will be on his way to Moore Catholic High School in Staten Island, New York for high school. At first look he appears to be an interior offensive lineman and/or somewhat of a 3-4 style defensive lineman; However, he then takes the field and shines as a linebacker/tight end/running back. I’m very interested in seeing how he develops because of how he big he already is. Nonetheless, he played a very physical brand of football all weekend long.

Dai’Ryus can play multiple positions on the field at 6’1 240. Put a check mark next to DL, TE, LB, FB. Most notable is his production on the first line of defense. He is gifted with size and enough speed to make a lot of big men uncomfortable. Dai’Ryus is hard to block because he plays with low pad level and has such a powerful lower half that is hard to control. This year he should look like a man amongst boys as he continues to develop. Additionally, Dai’Ryus is a reclass that moves really well at tight end with good hands.
