Expert Analysis

A true X receiver, Morin has great size and knows how to use it well, both to shield defenders and to high-point the football. He had a bigger junior season in terms of the raw numbers, but as a senior, he had a game-winning touchdown and flashed some high-level technical abilities.

Morin has size and speed to take defenses deep, something he showcased in 2024… often. His junior highlight tape is full of him beating defenses in different ways: Before the catch, after the catch, at the catch, you name it. He shows a strong release package and I was impressed with his ability to high-point the ball. I don’t think he’s hit his ceiling and he’s a guy we could see taking another step forward.

Dominic is an all-around receiver who excels in any type of coverage look you might throw at him. Seeing him up close this past season, I love Dominic’s physicality at the line of scrimmage against press-man coverage. Dominic does a good job of working his releases against corners who try to be physical with him, and he wins against man coverage on a variety of routes after doing so. Dominic was named All-Conference for the 2nd year in a row, and he’s also named to this Junior Bowl team.

Dominic made several important catches that kept the chains moving around on drives where the Blue Devils got points. Dominic won consistently in man coverage against the Providence secondary, and he showed strong hands to make those catches. He has been a big play threat throughout the season, but this game showed that he can make those important possession catches in clutch situations.

Morin has grown an inch and added 15 pounds since the end of last season, a result of hard work and dedication to his craft. I watched Morin during a spring practice to Mooresville, and he looked especially faster and fluid, holding up with his QB

on multiple deep passes against a strong Blue Devils defense. Morin has had some college interest from a recruiting perspective, but that has not translated into offers just yet. Morin was selected as an All-Conference player last season, and with a lot of the offense returning, I’d bet he can repeat that again this year.
