Spano measures in at 5’10 170-pounds and is a lockdown corner. This past season, he had 38 total tackles (27 solo, 11 assisted) 1 TFL, and 9 pass deflections. He has very good athletic ability due to very good speed, acceleration, change of direction, and jumping. Smooth and controlled back pedal. Very good job with the press jam and re-routing receivers through the route. Can move his torso rapidly in unison. Very good man coverage. Sticks to the wideout like glue. Very good closing quickness. Spano does a great job at timing his pass break ups, and creating incompletions. Very good zone coverage as well. Due to his very good read and reaction speed, he diagnoses what’s happening on offense and attacks. I love this kid’s film, and believe he can make an impact at the D1 level.
