Dupree was a human highlight reel all game long in a victory over Batavia. As Mount Carmel once again finds themselves heading to a state championship game, Dupree put on a show on Saturday like he has done many times before. He tallied 174 yards and 4 touchdowns, some of which seemed impossible. Multiple times, Dupree made a man miss, lost his balance, regained it, ran through a tackler or two, and took it to the house. Steadily working his way as one of the top backs in the country, Dupree and the Caravan are ready to put on a show in Bloomington for the 7A state championship.

Dupree is one of the top running backs in the country, as the Wisconsin commit has been turning heads for awhile now. The 5’10, 195 lbs tailback has an elite combination of speed, vision, and power that he has showcased throughout his high school career. Dupree possesses a variety of moves that allow him to evade tackles, including trucking, juking, and spinning. And once Dupree puts his arsenal of moves on display, his speed takes over on his way to the end zone. Good luck to anyone trying to shut down Dupree throughout the playoffs.

Dupree is perhaps the top running back in the state of Illinois, if not in the country, for the Class of 2024. The Wisconsin commit is ready to dominate again on Friday, as he possesses elite vision, balance, and speed. Dupree runs with power, bulldozing nearly anyone in his path. When called for, he can also juke out any defender in his vicinity. Once he makes a move, Dupree is off to the races, as it’s hard to find a player who can catch him. The do-it-all back his ready for one more ring before he heads off to Madison.

Dupree is an elite running back who committed to the University of Wisconsin earlier this month. This seems like the perfect fit, as Wisconsin is known for developing some of the best backs in the country. Dupree, one of the nation’s best running backs, fits the mold of many Badger backs who have come before him. Dupree boasts a lethal combination of vision, balance, speed, and power. Just watch the first clip on his highlights, you’ll see all of it. He possesses a variety of moves and can break tackles with any one of them. Dupree is an absolute homerun threat, and heading into his season season, the future Badger is sure to light it up just as he has the past 2 seasons.

NUMBER TWO:
The RB position has changed, evolved, and is under more scrutiny than other position on the gridiron, which trickles into both high school recruiting and NFL projection, although the latter has been impacted far more. Despite the radical change of the running back in this modern era, Mount Carmel’s electric RB

brings the quintessential yet contemporary value that defies the current reconstruction of the position. A recent commit to the Wisconsin Badgers who stands an excellent chance of continuing their accomplished legacy of running backs, Dupree possesses a balanced and dynamic skillset that helped the Caravan to a 14-0 record in 2022 and a Class 7A state championship, not to mention his First Team All-Conference and Illinois Gatorade POY finalist selection. The 5’10, 195 lber. is a Madden controller of moves, jukes, spins, hurdles, stiff-arms trucks, and cuts, and he also possesses the breakaway speed that can capitalize on gaps and holes in the defense and take advantage of daylight and the edge of the defense when presented to him. Dupree also shows off patience, vision, and burst when finding space and allowing his blocking to develop, and his anticipation and hesitation to make reckless pursuers miss is quite exciting on tape. Additionally, he’s sudden and powerful in his cuts, and great hands out the backfield, making him a hard-to-find weapon in the pass-catching game as a RB who can run routes on the perimeter, out of the slot, or as a wing. He shows a bit of natural ability as a route runner who can drop his hips at the top of the route as well. Of all the exciting and impressive ways he creates electricity with the ball in hand, his balance is the most noteworthy and thrilling. With a powerful lower body that packs a punch and can withstand contact like a RB 20-30 pounds heavier, Dupree can stay upright and onward through big collisions and hard hits from high-quality competition and eats the contact like it’s breakfast cereal at the start of his morning. Wisconsin fans are, and have the right to be, extremely excited about what he’s bringing into Madison. This kid is fun to watch and very hard to bring down. Best of luck to CCL, non-conference, and playoff opponents trying to corral Dupree this fall.

This is my choice for RB1 in Illinois. Dupree checks off a ton of boxes you look for in an FBS recruit at the position. He has speed that looks unfair at the high school level, even against top competition. In tight quarters, Dupree has the lower body power and explosive agility to be able to juke or jump cut and leave defenders tackling air. The best part is that he has great size at 5’10” 195 lbs to be able to play all three downs at the next level. More playing time means more chances of creating those fireworks on the field. We will be watching this kid create those fireworks on Saturdays in no time.
