Mt. Carmel punched their ticket with a 56-46 win over Tolono Unity in the 3A quarterfinals. Blayne Sisson Blayne Sisson 6'2" | 190 lbs | DB Mt Carmel | 2024 State IL was a major reason for that win with his monster performance on Saturday. He threw for 146 yards and 2 touchdowns and he also had 230 yards rushing and 4 touchdowns. Tolono had no way of slowing the Southern Illinois commit down. Sisson is playing at a high level and I expect him to have another big game as he looks to get his team to the State Championship this week.

Mr. Sisson is a young man that’s been on my radar for some time now and he continues to ball out each season. This young man is a true athlete that has the skill set to get it done on both sides of the ball. The first clip in his highlights he delivers a heavy blow on the ball carrier forcing a fumble and he’s not afraid to get involved in pass coverage. Where he’s currently shining the most is on the offensive side of the ball working as a quarterback. The threat his legs are to opposing defenses causes headaches as this young man can find the smallest alley to hit using his foot quicks to outrun 2nd-level defenders for six. If you try to load the box to stop this young man from scrambling, he is able to make level three throws on deep shots downfield putting the ball into his receiver’s basket. Safe to say this young man is going to continue to be a force on both sides of the ball over these next two seasons and I’m excited to see what he’s able to accomplish. Currently holds interest across various levels but holds no offers. Look for that first offer to come once this fall season is concluded and the flood gates of offers to come as he’s one of the top players in the class of 24 here in Illinois. Twitter
