Darian Coates Cameron is becoming a superstar before our eyes. He improved in every category this past season and just received two offers last week from New Haven and Monmouth. Cameron is now 6’3 and his speed and footwork are Power 4 worthy. The 7th ranked athlete was all state this past fall playing for Episcopal he also has a 3.1 GPA.

No stranger to us at Prep Redzone, Darian is a multi-sport athlete who shines on Episcopal’s football team. The size of a linebacker and the athleticism to play Nickel, he totaled 41 Tackles and 10 TFLs on the season. He has good processing and reaction allowing him to be in a good position to make a play. He has the strength to take on and shed blocks from linemen and make a tackle on the ball carrier. He can play in Zone and Man coverage in pass defense. At Wide Receiver, he has good strength through his routes, with the size that will outmatch most he will face on the high school field. He has no issue running across the middle and absorbing contact. He is also a willing blocker. He is a good prospect who will be a great addition to whatever college lands his commitment and is one of my favorites to watch in the class of 2027.

will be on hand making plays in Charlottesville tomorrow. He is 6’3 and 195 coming off a 41 tackle campaign at linebacker. Cameron is really good at covering ground and has tremendous footwork. The running backs will have a tough time getting past him during the 1v1 portion. He has some of the best coverage skills I have seen for this position.

This guy is a star in the making that Cole and I have covered previously at length.

capped off his sophomore season with a 17 receptions and 228 yards. While his impact with Episcopal High School may have been felt more on the defensive side, his upside at receiver is hard to ignore. Cameron is 6’3 and up to 190 lbs., he is not done growing into his frame yet either. Already a big target I expect his numbers on offense to double next year, but regardless he is major stock riser.

Darian had top-level competition in his first two games against St. Christopher’s and North Cross. He has shown that he can play against the best at WR and OLB. At WR, he is willing to run routes in the middle of the field and secure the catch in traffic in the face of a safety coming downhill to hit him. In the two games, he has 6 receptions, and 107 yards, averaging 17.83 yards per reception. On defense, he has recorded 10 tackles, with 4 tackles for loss. He plays well in run support, keeps contain on the edge, can pass rush from depth, and is making open field tackles. Our 4th ranked ATH is proving why he earned that rank to begin this season.

You will remember this young man soon enough believe me when I tell you. Episcopal having two prospects in the top 15 is something else, like his teammate ( Levi Babin Levi Babin 6'1" | 195 lbs | ATH Episcopal | 2027 State VA ) Coates-Cameron plays the game much older than he is.
It appears he is on several major colleges radars, I would expect offers to fly by the end of his sophomore year.

Darian Coates-Cameron has all of the makings of a future NCAA FBS player as a receiver. Coates-Cameron has a great frame to grow into as he comes in at 6’3″ and 180lb, while also possessing open-field separating speed. Coates-Cameron can line up as a slot receiver or as an isolated X receiver thanks to his size and ability to win vertically with his speed. Coates-Cameron is a natural at tracking the ball in the air as he makes over-the-shoulder catches look routine while also being able to adjust mid-route to the correct shoulder to make the catch. Despite Coates-Cameron having great vertical speed he doesn’t have great acceleration which limits his ability to be sudden on his breaks and change speeds to win on intermediate routes. Coates-Cameron has lots of time to improve his acceleration which would take his route running to another level and allow him to become a dominant high school receiver. Coates-Cameron is someone who I project to garner many NCAA FBS offers.
