He is one of the more athletic hybride safety/linebacker prospects I've watched from the DMV in the past few years. Coates-Cameron is athletic enough to play safety, but once he gets to college and puts on the weight needed to play the OLB position, he's going to thrive even more. I'll say this, he's got good quickness and acceleration which makes him dangerous with the football in the open field. Operating mostly out of the slot on offense, he gets in and out of his breaks quick and finds open spots against zone defenses. HIs best attribute in my opninion? He comes back as Episcopal's best downfield vertical threat. With that being said, I think Corley does a great job of selling the vertical route before breaking into a short route. I'm impressed with his releases that he displayed in his 2025 highlights. Explodes off the line of scrimmage. Plays mostly zone coverage in his high school's defense. Highlights show his ability to make sure nothing gets behind him in his zone area. Several plays show him picking up receivers 1v1 downfield and breaking up passes. Keeps a lot in front of him, smoothly transitions of out of his backpedeal to make solid tackles. Tough and physical, Armstrong comes off the ball low and explosive, enabling him to quickly penetrate the gap on a consistent basis. Lines up at both the edge and defensive tackle positions (I like him at DT the best). Has shown that he can power through double-teams. Plays with a relentless motor. With the graduation of Jackson Gravel, Lalji is the likely starter for the upcoming season. Based on a quick look at his sophomore-year highlights, Lalji will bring the threat of him being able to also make plays with legs.
