Dameyn Anness Dameyn Anness 5'11" | 180 lbs | ATH Ryle | 2026 State KY is a player that caught my attention as a freshman and continued to impress in his second season. On offense, Anness is a very impressive ball carrier, showing the ability to use his combination of strength, speed, and elusiveness to break away on a long run at any given moment. He finished this past season with 181 carries for 1,251 yards and 13 touchdowns in 13 games. Anness also finished the season with 22 receptions for 263 yards and four touchdowns. Dameyn also plays a key role on defense at linebacker, finishing this past season with 99 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, three sacks, two interceptions (one returned for a touchdown), and two fumble recoveries (one returned for a touchdown). Anness doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is a player that college coaches should definitely keep an eye on going into his junior year.

Anness played a huge role in Ludlow’s win over Newport. Dameyn lined up at linebacker where he was impressive against the run, showing the ability to read his keys and get to the ball carrier in a hurry to make the tackle. He led his team with nine tackles and two tackles for loss. Anness also showed reliability against the pass, both as a rusher and in coverage, finishing the game with one sack and an interception. He also finished the game as his team’s leading rusher, running the ball 25 times for 123 yards and three touchdowns. Anness doesn’t currently hold any offers but he is definitely a player to keep an eye on over the next few years. Dameyn and the Panthers will be looking to keep their playoff run going in a tough matchup against Kentucky Country Day this week.

Anness made the most of every touch offensively, churning out 119 yards rushing, 1 touchdown and 1 two-point conversion on 10 carries in his Panthers’ decisive 46-14 win over Bellevue. Also contributing 3 solo tackles, 4 assists, 2 tackles for loss, 2 sacks and 1 interception (a 33-yard pick-six) from his outside linebacker position, he helped his program achieve its ninth straight win in the traditional rivalry’s 109th meeting. For the season, Anness has now surpassed 1,000 yards rushing and ranks 14th among all Class A ball carriers with an average of 93.9 yards per game. A talented pass catcher out of the backfield or when aligned as a shallow slot receiver, he has hauled in 13 catches for 195 yards and accounted for 14 total touchdowns offensively (9.1 points per game). The #2 tackler on Ludlow’s defensive unit, as well, he has impacted that side of the ball in every possible category, producing 84 total stops, 8 tackles for loss, 2 sacks, 2 forced fumbles, 2 fumble recoveries and his pick-six interception most recently. Anness and his 7-4 Panthers have now won 6 of their last 7 contests and will host Newport for a chance to advance to the regional championship.

Ludlow’s 56-14 win over Bellevue was the Panthers’ eighth straight win in the traditional 108-game series, and Anness was a consistently dynamic contributor offensively, finishing the night with 146 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 successful two-point conversion on 20 carries. A physical insider runner with the ability to abruptly cut without decelerating, he also gathered in two pass receptions for 18 yards and contributed 5 total tackles defensively. Currently the team’s leading rusher with 646 yards and 7 touchdowns on 80 carries, his 8.1 yards per carry and 107.7 yards per game average places him 8th among all Class A rushers. Likewise a top contributor defensively, he ranks third among Panther tacklers with 44 total stops, 4 tackles for loss, 2 forced fumbles and 1 32-yard scoop-and-score. Just a sophomore, Anness displays the athleticism, speed and developmental trajectory to become one of northern Kentucky’s top prospects during his prep career.
