Chapmanville has its “franchise” player to build around for four years with 2028 QB Dakota Dalton Dakota Dalton 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB/ATH Chapmanville | 2028 State WV . He did a nice job for the Tigers during the second half of the season as he built confidence and improved during his first year of high school. His upside as an athlete and prospect is very high with the size and athleticism he possesses, and he will be a fun athlete to watch progress over the years.

“Expect 2028 Chapmanville QB/ATH  Dakota Dalton Dakota Dalton 6'3" | 200 lbs | QB/ATH Chapmanville | 2028 State WV  to take a big step forward as a sophomore for the Tigers this season after showing flashes as a freshman. He was thrown into the fire as QB1 as a freshman, and you could see that it was his first year at the high school level at times. However, Dalton has the size and athleticism to develop nicely either as a quarterback or an ATH. He’s a two-sport star for the Tigers and is well known on the basketball court as well. Dalton is the type of athlete who could play a few different positions at the next level, depending on how he develops as a passer, with D1 potential either at quarterback or another skill position.”
