Cortez Cooks Cortez Cooks 6'0" | 180 lbs | DB Auburn | 2027 State AL is a really talented DB out of Auburn who put together some impressive tape last season and has seen his recruitment start to open up over the last few months.

Cooks is a really impressive safety who plays with a ton of speed and instincts out in the secondary. Cooks is already a playmaker out in coverage- he does a fantastic job breaking on passes and using his hands to come up with PBUs and INTs and never lets anyone get behind him downfield for big plays.

Cooks is just as dominant defending the run- he’s a physical DB who doesn’t shy away from contact and frequently meets RBs down by the line of scrimmage to come up with stops.

Cooks has had his recruitment heat up this offseason- in the last month he’s picked up offers from Jacksonville State and Sacramento State.
