is a playmaker safety for Cherokee Trail HS. He’s got a quick backpedal, staying square to the LOS and quick to transition downhill. He is a force at the catch point and had multiple PBUs this season. Furthermore, Cole hits with a purpose, forcing 2 fumbles this season by hitting ball carriers with heavy force and getting his hand or helmet to the ball. Cole also has a strong handle on the position to disguise coverages pre snap. Cole ended the season with 14 TKLs and 2 INTs in 5 games.

Cole showcased a physical style of play, utilizing his strength and speed to jam receivers and stay tight in coverage. He effectively disrupted routes, bumped receivers off their timing, and stuck to them like glue. Competing with top WRs, Cole held his own and made breaks on the football with precision. His physicality near the line of scrimmage and ability to adapt to different challenges made him a standout. Expect Cole to be a stock riser as he is a consistent and reliable DB who can handle elite competition moving forward.

Another defensive back out of Cherokee Trail, Cole caught my eye due to his scrappy behavior. Throughout the individual drills and 1 on 1’s he played with a chip on his shoulder. Measured in at 5’11 140 pounds. Cole used his very good athletic ability to stay stride for stride with the receivers all day. What stood out to me what his competitive toughness and jumping. He has very good jumping, able to elevate himself and knock the ball out of the air. If he got beat on a play, he came back the next like nothing ever happened. Cole has very good reactionary skills, and very good mental processing. He kept his eyes on both the QB and WR to see where the ball was going. He has good man coverage skills, and a good back pedal as well. Cole is another name to watch in CT’s secondary. Him and Mbamarah make a fantastic duo.

Another freshmen DB, Cole measures in at 5’10 140 pounds. His combine stats are as follows: 4.64 40-yard dash, 4.44 shuttle, 8’7 broad jump, 7.07 L-drill. If Cole got beat, he’d come back and win the next. He was consistently keeping up with the WRs, giving them a headache with his press at the LOS. Good speed and acceleration. If beat will use his speed to catch up to them.

Cole is a young newcomer who stood out early during the combine because of his explosive acceleration and quickness. He has a smooth backpedal and does a fantastic job maintaining a low pad level. His reps during the competition drills did not disappoint. His skills and technique are on track for him to be another playmaking defensive back to come out of Colorado. Cole’s motor and athleticism made him stand out during the showcase, earning him early stock value as a potential recruit.
