Another 2025 linebacker to keep an eye on this week is Chase Pearsall Chase Pearsall 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Lees Summit North | 2025 State MO . Pearsall is an outside linebacker who has shown the versatility to play both off the edge and off the ball. He has an explosive first step out of his stance off the edge which he is able to convert into speed to get into the backfield and disrupt the play before it can get going. When the play is away from him, he has shown the ability to run sideline to sideline to get to the ball carrier in a hurry and make the tackle in the open field. Pearsall currently holds several Power 4/Division I offers and I expect that list to continue to grow as he is a high-caliber linebacker prospect. Chase will be looking to help guide Lee’s Summit North to a Week 1 victory over Raymore-Peculiar on Friday.

Chase has received interest from Mizzou, Kansas, and Iowa State this fall, so watch for more schools in the region to recruit the hard-hitting defender this winter. Chase’s awareness and acceleration in pass coverage give him a chance to be a great three down linebacker in college. Good power and closing speed get displayed running through ball carriers in pursuit. Chase’s strength, good flexibility, and explosiveness shown blitzing the quarterback highlight his pass rush potential at the next level.

Chase Pearsall Chase Pearsall 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Lees Summit North | 2025 State MO is a nationally recruited linebacker out of Lee’s Summit North. Chase currently holds nine FBS offers, and I would only expect that number to keep climbing during his junior year. The speedy defender is my top 2025 linebacker, and I am sure college coaches in the region think the same. Keep an eye on Chase to be one of many great prospects to take the field for Lee’s Summit North’s defense this fall.

Chase’s rare combination of power and closing speed shows exploding off the line of scrimmage and running through quarterbacks as a pass rusher. Good shed, strength, burst, and tackling ability highlight Chase’s potential to play either inside backer position in college. Quickness and good instincts consistently get displayed in Chase’s fast diagnosis of run schemes. Athleticism, physicality, and effort displayed on plays like Chase’s field goal block suggest he will be in the mix for a special teams opportunity early on as a college football player.

LB Chase Pearsall Chase Pearsall 6'1" | 220 lbs | LB Lees Summit North | 2025 State MO . A busy spring of ’22 that involved unofficials to Nebraska and Kansas, Pearsall earned P5 offers from the Cornhuskers and SEC Mizzou in the summer and added a Big12 offer from the Kansas Jayhawks on October 8th for good measure. Sadly, he doesn’t have any updated Hudl film besides from basketball, so coaches and college programs must really love that in-person eye test, high school coaches input, and any other personal evals they’ve done on the recruiting trail. PrepRedzone loves Missouri prospects!

Pearsall is an impressive linebacker prospect with good size who has already garnered interest (and scholarship offers) from several colleges. Nebraska and Missouri were the first schools to extend offers, but they certainly won’t be the last. Look for Pearsall to have a breakout sophomore season on a loaded Lee’s Summit North squad that will challenge for a state championship.
