The 6’2”, 175-pound edge rusher recently earned his first reported offer from Temple, and it likely won’t be his last. Right now, he’s winning off pure athleticism. He has a long frame, explosive burst, and natural playmaking ability. His tape shows a player who split time between the freshman and JV levels but flashed serious potential.

McClain is still raw, but the upside is obvious. He could become a dominant force once he refines his technique—keeping his pads low, using his hands more effectively, and sharpening his pass-rush moves. He’s already a problem in the run game and has the athletic traits to develop into a disruptive pass rusher. Temple sees the long-term vision with him, and as he polishes his game, expect more schools to follow suit.
