Expert Analysis
Rob Howe | Prep Redzone Scout
I’ve scouted Wroe in person during the last two seasons and kinda don’t understand the reluctance in recruiting him. Production has been there. This season, he led the Top 10 Tigers with 53.5 tackles (42 solo, 9.0 TFL) with 2.0 sacks through six games. Check out his highlights from the first three contests. Watch him see what’s coming through pre-snap reads, get in position and shoot gaps to the ball carrier. His straight-line speed impresses and he gets from sideline to sideline quickly, too. Wroe embraces the game’s physicality and opponents feel his presence. Also an accomplished baseball player, Wroe is a good athlete with room for growth, physically and in sharpening football skills.

Wroe enjoyed a productive junior season that saw him record 42.0 tackles, 34 of which were solo. He also registered 3.0 tackles for loss. When watching his junior highlight video, we witness an athletic hybrid defender. Wroe might fit best as a linebacker in some schemes. He’s quick enough with capable coverage skills to occupy a strong safety spot. The Tigers line him on the edge at times, where his burst and speed are a benefit. Versatility and athleticism make Wroe an intriguing prospect that could open eyes at college camps this summer.
