Expert Analysis
Matt Tate | Prep Redzone Scout
Camping has prototypical size for a tight end. He measures in at 6’5 220-pounds. Last season, he had 40 receptions for 391 yards and 2 touchdowns. I’ve consistently said he’s a baller, and I’m glad to see the colleges are as well. Earning himself 14 Division 1 offers! On film, his polished route running ability stands out, as well as his very good athletic ability. Beats defenders at the line of scrimmage and consistently finds ways to get open. Very good catching with his suction hands. Camping has developed even more as a blocker under Coach Matt McChesney. He has very good strength, elite hand strength, and very good hand placement to consistently dominate his opponent in front of him. He has very good knee bend and flexibility as well. Very good initial quickness out of his stance. Does a great job at blocking from the 1st to 2nd level as well. Camping is a dominant prospect and continues to solidify himself as the #1 TE in the box. From blocking to catching, he’s the real deal and colleges see it too.
