A strong armed lefty with good size and pocket mobility, Carlson is one of the more under the radar signal callers we have from our senior class and he still sits on the open market, ready for all suitors. Carlson gained tons of experience last year as a junior and now heads into his senior year as the clear cut starter and leader of the Saints offense. This coming Fall season will be huge for this Memphis area quarterback as Carlson currently sits without offers but has the talent to reach the next level, even the FCS ranks. What I like the most about this lefty passer is the zip that comes from the ball when he releases it and the accuracy that follows. Carlson has a quick release along with good enough arm strength to get the job done. He will continue to get bigger and stronger as he grows and matures but the Saints senior is already well built, looking the part of a future college guy. Besides his arm talent, Carlson is also a good athlete that handles the pocket well, showing mobility and the feel for escaping the rush. If this 6’2 lefty can take a step up in his game this Fall and push his Saints team back into the top of the D2-Class AAA ranks, Carlson could watch his stock go up and become a much wanted quarterback.Junior Film #SaintsProud
