When healthy, 2024 wide receiver and defensive back Brytan Gaddy Brytan Gaddy 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Sulphur | 2024 State OK is one of the more underrated prospects in the state’s 2024 class. Gaddy was in the middle of an outstanding track season in the spring when he was injured late in the track season. Gaddy was unable to go through spring drills while nursing the injury but he should be ready to go for the start of the 2023 football season. And with Gaddy returning as a two-way starter for the Bulldogs, he’s going to provide Sulphur with a versatile athlete that can help in a lot of ways. The majority of the times that we’ve seen Gaddy in person, it’s been as a cornerback. But there’s no doubt that he has the athletic ability and the speed to be a legitimate weapon in the Sulphur offense.

Another prospect that is in a similar boat to Dean is Sulphur cornerback Brytan Gaddy Brytan Gaddy 6'1" | 165 lbs | DB Sulphur | 2024 State OK and he’s going into another year as a starter for the Bulldogs. As we mentioned earlier this week with Sulphur, we think the Bulldogs are going to be a contender and that could definitely mean more eyes on Gaddy and company this season. But while Dean has had an outstanding offseason, Gaddy has had a different approach as he got hurt during the track season and had to sit out spring drills and is slowly but surely getting back to 100 percent. But he’s a legitimate track guy that has blazing speed and is another example of a prospect that works tirelessly on his craft. In fact, Gaddy has started training with the same DB trainer as Dean and could be joining him in that position where he will be one of the more sought-after cornerbacks among colleges this fall. Gaddy is another perfect example of a prospect that will help out a program at the next level.

Gaddy is definitely a name to keep an eye on moving forward. And we’ve already written a few times in the last two months that Sulphur is a team that we really like heading into the 2023 season with some of the players that they have returning. Gaddy is arguably the biggest playmaker on that team and while he can do a lot of things well on the field, it feels like the best thing he does is play corner in man to man situations. We’re looking forward to seeing what Gaddy’s track times are this spring.

You can also make the argument that he should be listed as an athlete instead of just as a defensive back with how productive he is in all three phases of the game. But regardless of the position, we’re very impressed with Gaddy and his performances not only this fall for the Bulldogs, but during the offseason while running track and playing 7v7 with C4 out of Durant. On the football field, Gaddy has been very impressive as a cornerback and his recruitment is starting to heat up as well. Gaddy jumped up into the Top 25 and we’re looking forward to seeing more of him this offseason, while playing 7v7 and seeing him continue to develop his game. Just like every other prospect on this breakdown, he’s on the rise and definitely worth taking note of moving forward.
