Brycen was a defensive end prospect later I evaluated later in the day with the defensive line group that showed why he is finally getting some recruiting traction this summer. I liked watching his hand technique and the softness he showed off within his shedding ability. Not only was Brycen efficent getting off blocks, it was the instinct he showed off getting into the backfield in 1v1s that caught my eyes. I also liked his athleticism in his bend which consistently lines up with his junior tape. That tape also shows off a DE prospect that with those soft hands I mentioned also have some developing elusiveness with his get off as Brycen gets out of the inside box like a linebacker at 6’0 235 pounds. He certainly is a prospect that is under the radar and is 100% a prospect you go outside the measurables threshold for, as he can add plenty of frame in a college football weight training program.
