We dive into another plethora of prospects that most fit the bill of being under the radar however some could see their stock rise not only in our upcoming 2024 rankings, but as they get on campus this summer at prospect camps.
Delvoun Spears-Witte Delvoun Spears-Witte 5'10" | 190 lbs | RB Brandon Valley | 2024 State SD , RB, Brandon Valley (SD) (2024) Twitter
- Delvoun brings that “ready for action” skillset once he gets the ball in his hands has he shows off a quickly released burst and solid agility to release into the open field with his instincts.
- His first cuts do a nice job of paving his run to set up well in the open field as a north-south running back with a well-built 5’10 190 pound frame.
- With camp season starting soon, I would love to see Delvoun take his tape up a notch by creating more durability on tape once he gets into the second level from the B-Gap as I certainly believe Delvoun has the wheels to take his game to the next-level.
Brycen Mitchell Brycen Mitchell 6'0" | 245 lbs | DL Sioux Falls Lincoln | 2024 State SD , DL, Sioux Falls Lincoln (SD) (2024) Twitter
- Brycen shows off why he was a All-Stater last season, as this young man has blossoming take-down strength that play outside what his measurables show off.
- Brycen also attracts me on tape with his athletic bend he shows off, as I like how well balanced he gets off the snap and quickly can get into the middle of the inside box and start creating havoc with his great physicality levels.
- Not just the stregnth, but Brycen also shows off versatility on where he can play on the Patriots defensive line and has great active hands to shed off blocks quickly. Certainly looks like a scholarship-level defensive end from these eyes.
Tray Kuntz Tray Kuntz 6'4" | 210 lbs | WR Grand Forks Central | 2024 State ND , TE/WR, Grand Forks Central (ND) (2024) Twitter
- Tray shows off as a WR/TE hybrid that shows a very wide catch radius in his 6’4 210 pound frame and plays like a big bodied WR that can stretch the field with his consistent speed from take off of the snap to the end of the rep.
- Tray is a prospect you can depend on with his vertical to get up and make the catch in very high-traffic areas or double teams as he puts that out on tape to show how much length he can use to get over the top of the secondary.
- Tray also shows off really solid balance and great body adjustments when he has to get the ball thrown slightly off line. This kid is a secondary mismatch waiting to happen at the next-level and one that I would expect to start to explode at summer prospect camps this summer. High academic prospect with a 3.8 GPA.
Hudson Hodous Hudson Hodous 6'2" | 285 lbs | OL Devils Lake | 2024 State , OL, Devils Lake (ND) (2024) Twitter
- I like the quick instincts Hudson has off the snap, as he has the swift strength in his punch to tower into his ball carrier with a good pad-level very quickly.
- You will see consistently on tape that Hudson does a great job with his drive blocking as he can execute his leverage against the defender into the second level with full use of his 6’3 285 pound frame.
- I would state the biggest development would be seeing more of Hudson’s footwork come thru on his blocks, because he has such an active and quick punch to barrel his defender to the turf, there is a high ceiling to see where his footwork can take him by summer prospect camps as I like this kid as another scholarship offensive linemen at the next-level.
Logan Rist Logan Rist 6'0" | 185 lbs | RB Des Lacs Burlington | 2024 State ND , RB, Des Lacs-Burlington (ND) (2024)
- At 6’0 170 pounds, Logan in my eyes has grown up some frame and length since I last watched him at the Minot State prospect camp last summer, and you can see it with his durability and the growing instinct he showed off in his junior tape at running back for the Lakers.
- Logan has also gotten a bit more agile since our last 2024 rankings update, as you should see him as a stockriser in our upcoming rankings as he showed that agility off even off some heavy initial contact that he was able to punch thru and get to the edges on a consistent basis.
- The length of Logan’s strides are going to hopefully catch some eyes from college coaches that watched him last summer, as his quick trigger as a defensive back has also stretched out with some great burst since last evaluation. Going to be a Minot Area prospect to watch the growth this summer!
Brock Jungels Brock Jungels DL Carrington | 2024 State ND , OL/DL, Carrington (ND) (2024) Twitter
- Brock is one of the leaner Center prospects (5’11 220) on this community film room, but I like his pad-level with some well-balanced hands that show off some versatility has a OL prospect with the quick feet to multi engage on on one rep going downhill.
- Brock also for his size gets off his blocks quite quickly and has a well-planted base with his bend & stance that engage well in the trenches and he also shows off on tape just how much physicality he has inside the tackle the box
- I see Brock as more of a fit on the defensive line as we look ahead at the next-level, however I believe with some work as far as his technique on the O-Line he could be a flexible prospect that college coaches could groom with coaching because there is something to like about the work ethic from this young man on both sides of the ball. Also, Brock has a 4.0 GPA. to fit those higher academic college football programs.
