has high upside and will be a name I’ll be monitoring over the next couple of years, Very versatile contributor as a freshman: has played safety, receiver, and returned kicks. This year he will be the teams’ quarterback and the staff is excited about his potential. Good release and throws a nice, catchable ball. Good arm with good velocity over the middle of the field. Can really roll out and throw on the move well. Scans field well and pulls the trigger, looks very cerebral. Needs to grow a couple of inches. Staff thinks he is their best projected recruit on the team.

served as his team’s backup quarterback last season but he still put together some very impressive film. As a freshman, he completed 12/22 passes for 208 yards, four touchdowns, and one interception in seven games. Armstrong has the arm strength to make all the downfield throws he is asked to along with the ball placement to lead his receivers away from opposing defensive backs. While he was used as a backup quarterback last season, he was also utilized at other positions as a freshman, scoring one rushing touchdown, catching three touchdown passes, and also coming away with an interception on defense. Bryce holds offers from Austin Peay State and Southern, and I expect more to come his way as he takes on the starting role this season.

Armstrong looked more confident as he continued to get reps and settled into his role. He brings good speed and was used as a dual-threat option, showing the ability to make plays with both his arm and legs. He also returned a punt for a TD, which speaks to the kind of athlete he is in space. He seems to find success wherever he lines up because he’s such a naturally gifted athlete. I think the confidence growth was one of the more encouraging parts of his development, and there’s still plenty of upside there.

Armstrong was nothing short of outstanding on both sides of the ball last season, as Campbell County Middle School brought home a Northern Kentucky Middle School Athletic Association Large School Championship. Physically strong for his age and level of play. Brings a dual-threat style that holds the opposing defense accountable for him on every play. Built more like a Linebacker, but his vision as a QB made him a ball-hawking Safety. He’s also a stud on the basketball court.
