Brooks had a great season for Bullis on both sides of the ball but will be a DB at the next level as he takes his talents to Stony Brook. He made a big jump in our ranks, moving up roughly 40 spots and coming in as the #26th overall DB in a class that is loaded for the DB position.
For season Mr. Martin racked up big numbers on both sides of the ball, leading to him making first team ALL-IAC. He had 1134 all purpose yards, over 900 of them receiving yards and adding 12 TDs. On defense Brooks racked up 6 INTs for the year, with one of them being a pick six and added in 11 PBUs and 35 tackles. Brooks shows good range at DB, is able to play in multiple spots and is a natural ball hawk. He possesses rapid feet, fluid hips, and the ability to read/react and break on the ball quickly.
A breakout senior season overall for Brooks which earned him Team MVP for Bullis and IAC Athlete of the Year. Stony Brook is getting a good one in Mr. Martin and he is more than deserving of this improved ranking.

With Brooks we have the SS for Bullis pairing up with previously mentions Ethan who plays over the top at FS. Martin is a well slapped together kid, muscled up and a built frame, standing at 6’2′” and 190lbs. Strong and physical, he plays closer to the LOS as an in the box guy or lined up in a nickel/rover spot. What stands out most about Brooks’ game is his ability to quickly diagnose plays and break on the ball. He had 6 int’s on the year with many of them being plays where he reads the the route and breaks on the ball to undercut the receiver. That shows he also has strong ball skills and shows good hands as well. He will pluck the ball out of the air, or go up and get it which makes sense as he also plays WR for Bullis. A physical player Brooks will come down hill or across the middle to lay guys out. He throws his body into the tackle, plays with some nasty. A plus player in run support. I like Brooks as in the box player at the next level who can also be versatile in coverage. With his frame he could also develop into a 210+lbs over hang athletic LB/SS role. Brooks is also another high academic kid, holding a 3.8 GPA and holding a few IVY offers already. A lot of colleges will be stopping by in the spring to see Mr. Martin.
