2027 Bridgeport EDGE/TE Brody Jeran made a position switch in the rankings this cycle, moving from tight end to edge rusher after a closer look at his long-term projection. The athleticism that made him an intriguing offensive prospect translates just as well on the defensive side of the ball, where his 6’3 frame and movement ability create plenty of upside. Jeran could ultimately be an outside linebacker at the next level, but there is also room to continue adding weight and develop as a stand-up edge defender. His versatility remains one of his biggest strengths, and the tools are there for a big senior season. Glenville State has already gotten involved with an offer, and more college programs should be paying attention this fall.

He’s a long and athletic prospect who could project as a tight end or EDGE/OLB at the next level, depending on how colleges see him fitting their program and how his body continues to evolve in the future. Playing in a single-wing offense, his offensive production was limited, but Jeran has the frame and athletic upside to play TE at the next level, and also did a great job at OLB with 57 tackles and 7.5 TFLs. Jeran moves fluidly both laterally and vertically, which allows him to be versatile in his OLB role in coverage, pass rushing, and crashing to defend the run. He plays well in space with his length and athleticism, which aids in his ranginess and quickness to the ball, making him a definite breakout candidate to watch closely next season.

2027 TE Broady Jeran will make his way to defending state champion Bridgeport this season after two years at Buckhannon-Upshur. He’s an intriguing prospect with a lot of potential, who needs to get some game film to get his name out there for colleges fully. Jeran has looked solid this summer at various camps and should be a nice addition to the Indians’ program this season.
