– Played on 14U NJ AYF All-Star Team at AYF Nationals.
– Throwback, muscled up, classic middle linebacker that is best roaming the tackle box freely.
– Not just a statue in the middle, plays against the pass well. Wouldn’t surprise me to see him get a pick in the game if he reads a play quickly enough.

Goodman, a reclassed kid, is a rocked up middle linebacker type that has more athleticism than one would think. Was part of a talented linebacker rotation the last two seasons for the New Jersey AYF All-Stars. Played running back on the offensive side of the ball. A sure-tackler that crashes the line hard during inside run plays. Despite needing to get quicker/less stiff in pass drops, he had a number of interceptions and pass deflections this year.

made the 14U All-Star’s last year as one of the youngest kids on the team. After reclassing in the off-season, Goodman is playing with athletes his age and I’d be shocked if he wasn’t back on the team again this year. The Howell prospect looks like your prototypical Mike linebacker with a barrel chest and a muscular frame from head to toe. It was my first time being able to watch him in a controlled, combine-like setting and I was impressed with the way he moved. With his build I thought he would be a bit robotic or tight, but the three-sport athlete (lacrosse and wrestling) had pretty good speed and agility.
