rnBrennen Ward will be a top returning QB in Central Ohio, and even some may argue the state of Ohio. Coming in at 6 ‘3, he has the physical traits to succeed at the next level. Ward totaled 24 touchdowns in 2023, leading the Lions to a 10-0 record. Ward plays in a primarily 10 personnel offense that features a 3+5 step passing, along with quick game. His film shows that he can hit the shot plays, but also has the ability to be accurate in quick game. He can extend plays with his feet in the pocket, and that is something college coaches will enjoy. I foresee Ward playing in a system that want QB’s to be on schedule (pure progression), and more of a pocket presence than creating. If you watch his tape, he plays with a great base and has an elite arm path. His quick game throws show just this as his exit velocity is very high.

Brennen’s good play in 2022 helped lead the Gahanna-Lincoln Golden Lions to a 13-win season where they averaged 31.4 points per game and advanced to the Division I Final Four. He possesses a quick release with excellent accuracy placing the ball on the correct shoulder of the wr allowing his man to score on a long TD reception. He displays very good accuracy while throwing on the move. He plays with solid poise and he is able to deliver the ball accurately with a defender in his face. His good mobility enables him to pick up a first down with ease if need be.

He quickly reads the defense and finds the open receiver. He delivers an accurate ball with excellent velocity placing it on the correct shoulder maximizing YAC. He shows good movement in the pocket as he avoids the rush before making an accurate pass. He throws the deep ball with very good accuracy and touch. He exhibits solid play speed as he picks up a first down on a broken play or on a design run.
