looks as though Kennedy cloned Mastin — or vice versa — and put him on the offensive side of the ball. A speedy receiver who found the holes in Waterloo West’s defense, Peck was seemingly open and/or targeted on every passing down.
The leading receiver for the Cougars, Peck caught eight receptions for 92 yards. Peck was doing all he could on the perimeter to keep Woodring and the Kennedy offense in a rhythm. Whether it was on slants, screens or swing passes, Peck found a way to get the ball in his hands. He also caught a tip-toe pass on the sideline, dragging his feet and ensuring he grabbed the catch for a first down.

Peck contributed eight receptions for 135 yards and a pair of touchdowns last season. He operated on an offense with plenty of mouths to feed, many of whom were seniors. Graduation losses and his development positions Peck for an increased role in 2025. His junior highlight video provides evidence that there’s potential for success with greater responsibilities. Operating out of the slot, Peck finds holes in the defense and stresses them with his abilities after the catch. He’s at ease catching the ball in traffic.
