Long and strong, Bunting uses both attributes to stymie the run game of opposing offenses.

With his physical make up, Bunting should find himself on a college roster next season. He may not reach the Division 1 level due to lack of production, but the frame is there for him to reach success when and where he finds a spot on a roster next year.

Set to take over one of the three starting linebacker spots for the Cougars this fall, Bunting is a big, long body that will help the Kennedy defense fill gaps and stymie opposing passing attacks this fall. An experienced LB that will look to take the next step this season, Bunting could see his recruitment increase significantly with a big fall. Expect the senior to see his production increase dramatically from his 17 tackles and 2.5 tackles-for-loss from last season.

Cedar Rapids Kennedy excels at player development, particularly of hard-nosed guys. That means talent at linebacker with dudes like Bunting. On a defense that got everyone involved, Bunting collected 17.0 tackles (12 solo, 2.5 TFL) and a sack. As we see during his junior highlight video, Bunting can cover a lot of group side to sideline thanks to good straight-ahead speed and lateral quickness. He diagnoses plays quickly and flows well to the football within the scheme. Bunting also would an asset on special teams.
