Root is another one of the top returning interior offensive lineman across the state and is a heavy inside puncher that gets immediate vertical push and has a road-grade mentality from his center position. He is strong at the point of attack, plays with good leverage and power through his hips and shows he can finish blocks downfield and even get to the second level taking the proper angles and cutting off flowing linebackers. Although a bit undersized for the position, he plays with exceptional pad level, techniaue and has anchor strength to sutain blocks and move defenders off their spots at the first two levels and is a no-brainer D3+ level prospect that should be drawing attention here soon.
