Boyd is one of the better hybrid safety/linebacker prospects across Idaho and is a very athletic and fluid athlete in space that excels on the perimeter and is smooth in coverage with natural ball skills and great return abilities. He is a high IQ player on the outside that can come up and set the edge, get off open field blocks and fits nicely when dropping into the box. He has been very under-recruited and is going to make a immediate impact at the D3+ level in college and checks into our final updated rankings as one of the top linebackers in the state.

A definite breakout candidate in 2025, the Bishop Kelly product is one of the better linebackers in this class and has a balanced play-style while excelling against the run. He plays with a low hat, can navigate through traffic quickly and knife into the backfield while showing closing speed and strong open field tackling abilities. Seemingly comfortable in space, he triggers quickly into the flats and shows downfield cover abilities with recovery speed and can make consistent plays on the ball underneath. Boyd should draw plenty of D3+ level interest through his senior year and is a next level caliber prospect.
