Huskey checks into our rankings as the number two receiver across Idaho and is one of the bigger playmakers returning in 2026 after coming off a very productive Junior year for Bishop Kelly. He is a twitchy route runner that gets in and out of his breaks quickly and has consistent hands, tracking abilities over the top and can make contested catches with ease. He shows he is a smart route runner against zone coverage and can settle and quickly knife upfield and has some wiggle and tackle breaking abilities in the open field. Look for Husky to draw plenty of college interest over the next 10 months and is going to be a nice steal for a college program.
Huskey is one of the top returning playmakers across the state in this 2027 class and is a twitchy and strong route runner that has natural hands, seperation ability downfield and can run a diverse route tree and stretch the field over the top. His ability to sink his hips before he breaks and settle in zone coverage separates him from other young route runners and he also has very impressive production under his belt heading into his senior season. He should be drawing FCS/D2/NAIA interest this winter and spring and is a key returning offensive name to note heading into the 2026 season for Bishop Kelly.
The Bishop Kelly standout sophomore play maker checks into our rankings as the top wide receiver in his class. He is a diverse route runner that can stretch the field and has natural hands and a big catch radius for his size. He shows quick feet and good body control in and out of his breaks while able to get over the top of safeties and win in high point situations. Husky shows good initial explosion after the catch and can make defenders miss in the open field while extremely dangerous in open space. He should fit nicely at the slot receiver position in college and is another FCS prospect that is the name to keep an eye on this off-season and into next fall.
Huskey is starting to emerge as one of the top receiving threats in the state of Idaho, and is putting together a good second season campaign for the defending state champions in Bishop Kelly. He is explosive off the ball, runs efficient routes out of the slot and is a natural pass catcher and tracks the ball well in traffic while able to knife upfield and get consistent yards after the catch. He also shows he can snag the ball out of the air with strong hands, a big catch radius and can get off press-man coverage while a high IQ route runner in space. Huskey should be atop the ’27 receiving stat leaders at the end of the season, and is in line for a huge off-season this Winter and Spring.
Huskey made a splash at the Varsity level for the state champion Knights, and did plenty of damage from the slot and on the outside. The Freshmen receiver is a dynamic and explosive player with good short area twitch and lateral movement when breaking out of his routes and getting in defenders blind spots. He displays strong hands when making contested catches, and good tracking abilities over the top while knowing when to settle in zone coverage and always seems to find the soft spot underneath before knifing upfield. Look for Huskey to take a big leap heading into year two of his high school career, as he has plenty of experience in big games and has had a very productive off-season so far.
