A big body that I got a first-hand look at was Ben Lubin. I am of the opinion that Lubin is probably an interior lineman and not a tackle. For as powerful as he is, he had a tendency to lunge and struggle against faster and quicker opponents. More bend will help this. Additionally, improve slight of foot will help him protect against inside threats.

He operated with balance and a wide, controlled base. Once he established inside hand placement, he rarely gave defenders a clean path, using leverage and strength to neutralize rush attempts and maintain control of the rep. His combination of size and discipline made him a steady presence throughout the day and ultimately earned him Offensive Line MVP honors.

He played with a wide base and good balance throughout drills, showing a smooth kick slide and the ability to stay square to pass rushers. Once he got his hands inside, defenders struggled to disengage, as he consistently anchored well and controlled reps in pass protection. His physicality and overall polish stood out all day and earned him my offensive line MVP honors.

Ben Lubin impressed me quite a bit. With a big burly body, he is sturdy and strong enough to absorb just about anything when he is inside at guard. What was even more impressed was that because of how effectively and consistently he can move his feet, Lubin has that same shock absorber ability with outside speed rushers when bumped to tackle. Lubin showcased strong play and versatility during this outing.
