Gates is one of the top two-way players still on the board from Nevada’s 2025 class and offers potential to develop into a playmaker in the secondary at the next level. Consistently makes plays on the ball with his combination of instincts, athleticism and ball skills. Anticipates throws and route progressions from his CB spot and is quick to close space downhill. Offers versatility in his ability to play from both S and CB alignments. Gates picked up an offer from UW-River Falls last summer and would be a great addition to any D-II or D-III program at this stage.
