Ace had an awesome Sophomore season in 2023. His excellent play helped the Archbishop Hoban Knights to a 13-win season where they advanced to the Division II Semifinals and held opposing offenses to 7.67 points per game. He plays as a DE. Against the pass, he shows quick hands with a powerful punch before disengaging. He shows great instincts in pursuit as he takes correct angles and plays with good range. He shows great explosiveness as he makes the tackle on WR preventing a first down. Against the run, he uses his very good quickness to penetrate the LOS. He reads the play and quickly makes the stop near the LOS preventing a gain of significant yardage.

Brown is a player who possesses an elite combination of size, explosiveness, and speed. Making varsity and seeing the field as a freshman in a program like Archbishop Hoban is impressive on his own. He was used primarily as a fullback who saw some time at tight end. As a sophomore he’s added the defensive side of the ball to his repertoire as he played as an edge rusher. The first thing that I noticed in watching his film is the physicality he plays with. He has good pad level and a strong punch and when he hits opposing players, be it blocking on offense or taking on a blocker on defense. In the open field on defense, you can see his explosiveness and speed as he runs down quarterbacks and plays. As he continues to get bigger and stronger while adding to his collection of pass rush skills, he’s going to take off. He was showing his diverse skillset at the best of the Midwest Combine in Indianapolis where he won a position MVP. He already is getting a lot of P4 attention and could start to see offers this summer.
