Wheeling Park’s Derek Croghan Derek Croghan 6'5" | 320 lbs | OL Wheeling Park | 2024 State WV played offensive line this season for the first time in a while and it paid off for the 6’5 big man. He was always going to sign with a D2 school whether he stayed as a DL specialist or not, but playing on the other side opened more eyes. We ranked Croghan as the #11 OL in the 2024 class which is high praise considering he wasn’t used to playing on that side of the ball. His ceiling increased a ton in doing so and he’ll now join former teammate Mike Hogan in the Pioneers’ OL room.

rnThe next big man to know in Ohio County is one of the biggest prospects in the region with 2024 DL of Wheeling Park. Croghan is a towering 6’5 and 300 pounds and plays in the interior of the defensive line for his Patriots team. You obviously can’t teach size and he has plenty of it and does a nice job taking up space and blockers to free up his linebackers. While he’s not a pass rusher at this time, Croghan does a great job demanding double teams and holding his ground at the line of scrimmage to stop ball carriers for no gain. With his size and power, he can also penetrate and create TFLs with ease.

Croghan continues to learn how to fully utilize his size and strength and has a ton of upside for the future.
