A player’s recruiting directly impacts their ranking as a prospect, but it is extremely rare for a player’s ranking to affect their recruiting. All rankings prior to the final updated list for the seniors are subject to change with each update.
The wide receiver position is arguably the second-most popular position behind the quarterback, but it is easily the position group with the most players in attendance at prospect camps. Becoming a highly recruited prospect as a wide receiver is easier said than done, especially with a heavily saturated position group, but that does not mean talent will always go unnoticed.
Some players manage to get recognition early in their high school careers. Jeremiah Hoffman Jeremiah Hoffman 6'1" | 170 lbs | WR Severance | 2025 State CO is the number one-ranked receiver due to him being one of the top-scouted players in his class. Second-ranked Jordan Rechel Jordan Rechel 5'11" | 165 lbs | WR Fairview | 2025 State CO exploded onto the scene during his freshman year when he was one of the nation’s top-producing receivers in the class that earned him a scholarship from Colorado.
The six wide receivers listed in this article are all ranked players with sleeper status who possess the potential to emerge as sought-after prospects in the near future.

He has good overall strength that makes him tough to bring down, enabling him to break free from contact and gain yards after the catch. Wilkes is an underrated athlete with the skills of a playmaker, adding to his value as a wide receiver prospect.
