Expert Analysis

Myles stays in the top 10 and is the #1 overall WR recruit in the rankings. He did take a slight drop due to missing the season with an injury. Looking to be back at full strength already however, he should be out all spring and summer showing off his skill set once again.
A premier route runner, Myles stems his routes strongly while making crisp cuts and using body movement to throw off defenders and create separation. Capable of playing out wide or in the slot he offers great versatility and ability to make plays in any scheme. He’s sure handed and no stranger to making the difficult catch. Don’t be surprised to see Myles jump back up in the rankings once I am able to see him action post injury.

McAfee has firmly established himself as one of the premier wide receivers in his class, proving it time and time again. As just a sophomore, he led the MIAA in receiving, averaging 54 yards per game, a testament to both his consistency and explosiveness.
Armed with a versatile skill set, McAfee can beat defenders in a variety of ways. He showcases strong contested-catch ability, precise route running that leaves defenders guessing, and the speed to stretch the field in one-on-one coverage.
With the MIAA already on high alert, the rest of the state should take notice, McAfee is primed to put on a clinic in his junior season.

extensively throughout 2024. In the year’s first half, he built significant buzz on the camp circuit, dominating high-level competition and earning several Power 4 offers. McAfee followed that up with a breakout season, quickly becoming one of

Behind teammates Washington, Gorman, and Ledbetter, McAfee ranks near the top in touchdowns with 9 this season. He recorded 50 catches for 594 yards, solidifying his status as one of the most impressive 2027 prospects in the state. McAfee earned offers from UNLV, Duke, and several other schools, adding to an already growing list of suitors. The sophomore playmaker displayed flashes of dominance, making tough catches downfield, running sharp, sudden routes, and leaving defenders in the dust off the line of scrimmage. As McAfee continues to build his resume, expect his role to expand, with more opportunities to showcase his talent and increase his visits to the end zone.

Myles comes to Spalding after playing last season at St. Johns (DC), and I have been able to see him live multiple times over the last year. Currently holding 7 offers and five from Power 4 schools, Myles looks to have a strong season as part of a loaded AS offense.
What you see first out of Myles game is that he is a crisp route runner. Able to stem his routes, stick his foot in the ground drop his weight and make strong quick cuts/change of direction. He is able to create space and separation for himself and find open space. Myles is nimble and fluid on his feet with oily hips he is able to just slide past defenders and away from tackles. Myles also tracks the ball very well and able to make an acrobatic catch. A lot things to like in Myles games and is easily at play for the the top WR in his class.

This young prospect that we watched tear up the camp circuit this past offseason already has 4 offers after his freshmen season. Myles recorded and hand full of receptions and a touchdown against varsity competition this season, the only way is up for McAfee, look for him to catch stride and contribute a lot more in 2024.

We are keeping the trend going with freshmen prospects who already hold offers coming into high school. McAfee currently holds two offers from home state UMD and Virginia Tech. I watched McAfee play at the Pylon Training Camp Series at Flowers High school over this off season where he put on a show. He runs routes like a varsity vet, getting separation at his breaks. He also made some tough catches fighting for position and attacking the ball. He was named a top performer of the Pylon camp and was named a top performer at this years UA Next camp in Baltimore. Myles played in the 8th grade UA All-American game where he got a few receptions and scored a TD.

Showed some impressive route running and concentration at the Pylon 7v7 event in Washington DC, recently. He made defenders miss on attempted jams with his feet off the line. Also kept the DB’s on skates getting into his breaks in his routes. McAfee is only in the 8th grade, but his skill outplays his age group, he is expected to attend St. Johns in DC next season.
