You can make an argument that Samuel is the top player in New York. This offseason he will have an incredible impact on Long Island Verified Elite. Samuel had a dominant junior season for Erasmus Hall helping them win their 5th straight PSAL championship. In the title game, Samuel recorded two big touchdowns and proved to be a matchup nightmare. His size, speed, and hands are amongst the best in the state. In spring tournaments he’s already been a jump ball machine, as he makes some of the most entertaining plays you’ll see. Samuel just made his commitment to Penn State.

As a sophomore in this game last year, Samuel had a big time touchdown to help Erasmus Hall run away with a 21-0 victory. Now as a junior Samuel has several P5 offers and leads the PSAL 4A with 7 touchdowns on the year. His size and speed has given all of New York City a serious problem. Look for Erasmus Hall to get Samuel the ball early and often, he’ll also be a scary threat in the redzone.

There was a lot of hype around Samuel coming into this event after the recent offers and he lived up to it. He showed that he was probably the top “college ready prospect” at the event. At 6 foot 4 and with his speed he was fun to watch. His official time didn’t come out but had one of the fastest 40 yard dash times at the event. His superior athleticism helped him have some highlight reel catches over defenders. Samuel’s quickness helped him separate from press coverage consistently and he was able to get open a ton.

Samuel may play in a run heavy offense but he is a focal point for defenses because of his ability to make big plays down the field. He just picked up his first offers from Syracuse and Penn State a good start for the 2025 receiver.
