Smith’s early film shows that he has lateral agility, toughness, vision that enables him to make explosive plays. He quickly possesses traffic and anticipates running lanes. Smith hits top speed quickly and uses sudden bursts to get through tight windows. He’s elusive and gets past defenses with jukes, cuts, and spins with fluidity. Smith doesn’t go down easily and maintains balance after contact. He’s a versatile back who can make plays from different positions. I love Smith’s ability to finish plays too. He knows how to complete runs with physicality.

Lamont starter at Concordia Prep before moving over to Perry Hall and is making a huge impact for the Gators. He is a built RB, muscled up, thick strong legs that allow him to run behind his pads with power and purpose. A one cut, downhill runner, Lamont hits the hole with burst and accelerates through. He shows good patience and vision waiting for his blocks to set and finding the right hole. Able to take contact and bounce off of it, keeping his balance and momentum going. An arm tackle will not bring down Lamont. He shows the ability to make strong cuts to get around defenders and find space, bouncing it to the outside and letting his speed take him down the sideline to the endzone. Can’t wait to see more of Lamont as I expect him to have a very strong freshman year and be a name for colleges to know.

. Smith Jr. is the third member of the Tigers’ three-headed monster on Offense. With Dixon and Branch clicking in the passing game, Smith Jr. is the Running Back that keeps defense’s honest and scorches them if they don’t respect the box. At 5-foot-9 and 170-pounds he’s been clocked at a 4.5 in the forty yard dash (unverified). A very sudden runner that hits the hole hard and explodes through arm tackles at the line. The talented 2027 prospect should have his pick of potential suitors, and told me there’s mutual interest in IMG Academy (Fla.), St. Frances Academy (Md.), Good Counsel (Md.) and DeMatha (Md.). He went on to tell me he’ll be narrowing down his choices after the season.
