Michael’s recruitment has started to really take off in the last week. Picking up offers from Army, VMI, Air Force, and Central State, bringing him to 6 total offers. He has lead Mervo to an 8-1 record this year and the #1 seed in their region headed into the playoffs. A true dual threat QB, Michael is a playmaker with his arm and legs. He is a big time athlete with speed, twitch, and elusiveness running the ball in both designed QB runs and scrambles. Also possesses solid arm strength able to get the ball downfield over the top of defenses. Look for Michael to be a big part of a deep Mervo playoff run generating even more attention from colleges.

Griffin’s latest midseason highlights were posted earlier this week. He’s one of the best quarterbacks I’ve watched on film for true dual-threat ability at the position. There are multiple explosive plays that he makes downfield with strong throws that display pinpoint accuracy. What’s more impressive is that he’s doing it on the move. Grfiggin looks like a running back when he runs with the football. Several of his plays look like designed runs for a reason. A true big-play threat, either passing or running the football. His team is currently 5-1 (game today)

Our first quarterback on the day was Michael Griffin Jr Michael Griffin Jr 6'0" | 170 lbs | QB Mergenthaler Vo-Tech | 2027 State MD . The only rep that I saw of his was a tough one. Throwing into the wind, Griffin uncorked a duck that died in the wind and did not get close to his intended target. To clean this up, I would suggest Griffin stride into his throws, while focusing on his lower half mechanics and how the ball rolls off of his hand/fingers. Doing so ought to help support Griffin perform in the elements.
