The diamond in Glenville State’s class may just be Clay County WR BJ Williams BJ Williams 5'7" | 160 lbs | WR Clay County | 2024 State WV . The 5’7 pass catcher seemingly made every Weekly Standouts article each week this season and had a huge senior year for the Panthers. He hauled in 79 passes for over 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns while totaling just under 1,400 all-purpose yards this year. The three-year starter tallied over 2,600 career receiving yards and scored 44 touchdowns during his time at Clay. I have a feeling he’ll be a future headache for opposing defensive coordinators and someone who plays well above his size.

rnClay County’s just set the school record for receiving yards with 2,048 career yards breaking Joey Myers’ record. Clay County has played just four games this season but Williams is still one of the leading receivers in the state through the first five weeks. He’s caught 23 passes for 367 yards and two touchdowns in four games and averaging 16 yards per catch. Williams has made an impact on defense as well with 18 tackles and 3 TFLs. For only being 5’7 160, Williams does a nice job absorbing contact and showed some really good hands in his three-game highlight video. He often finds himself wide open from his slot position which is a credit to his athletic abilities and his coaches scheming him open and allowing him to do the rest.
