Pennsylvania Recruiting Updates – End of April Edition

With the end of April this week and our goal of providing the best coverage of Pennsylvania High School football athletes. Going forward, we want to acknowledge more of Pennsylvania prospects’ recruitments, whether it be new offers or commitments, notable visits, etc. Please note, that it is impossible for us to truly check on each player’s recruitment at any given time, that being said, always feel free to tag or DM, the PrepRedzone PA Twitter account, me, or any member of the staff with your recent offers, visits, etc. We’ll be sure to include it in our next recruiting update! That being said, here’s some of the latest updates! <h5><strong>2023:</strong></h5> <strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="27735" first="Rodney" last="Gallagher"] (Laurel Highlands)</strong> Gallagher recently released his top-8 which includes Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Texas, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia. <strong>DE [player_tooltip player_id="146677" first="James" last="Heard"] (St Joes Prep)</strong> Heard released his top four on Wednesday afternoon of Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia. <strong>LB [player_tooltip player_id="27736" first="Josiah" last="Trotter"] (St Joes Prep)</strong> Trotter will not be joining his brother at Clemson but instead West Virginia, where he committed to earlier this month. He chose the Mountaineers over the Tigers and Penn State. <strong>LB [player_tooltip player_id="27734" first="Semaj" last="Bridgeman"] (Imhotep Charter)</strong> Bridgeman picked up a huge offer on Wednesday afternoon as the Alabama Crimson Tide offered the Imhotep Charter linebacker. Bridgeman now has 35 reported scholarship offers and is certainly becoming a national-level recruit. <strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id="140949" first="Markus" last="Dixon"] (Archbishop Wood)</strong> Dixon made a trip to Oregon this month and has also received an offer from the University of Miami (FL). <strong>DE [player_tooltip player_id="66053" first="Jameial" last="Lyons"] (Roman Catholic)</strong> Lyons recently committed to Penn State after moving his recruitment up from August to last Friday. <strong>LB [player_tooltip player_id="146529" first="Lacota" last="Dippre"] (Lakeland)</strong> Doesn’t appear any new offers are in for Dippre but he has been receiving FBS interest from ECU and Navy. <strong>TE [player_tooltip player_id="92676" first="Peyton" last="Faulkner"] (Avonworth)</strong> Faulkner recently picked up offers from Fordham and Richmond <strong>RB [player_tooltip player_id="248673" first="London" last="Montgomery"] (Scranton Prep) </strong> The Scranton Prep tailback is blowing up on the recruiting trail including recent offers from Georgia Tech and Michigan. <h5><strong>2024:</strong></h5> <strong>LB [player_tooltip player_id="97978" first="Anthony" last="Speca"] (Pittsburgh Central Catholic)</strong> The Central Catholic linebacker recently received an offer from Louisville, he also made a visit to Penn State. <strong>DB Quinton Martin (Belle Vernon)</strong> Texas A&amp;M, Louisville, and Ohio State all have offered Martin this month as he continues to rise up recruiting boards. Martin will be in the argument for being the No.1 player in the state for the 2024 recruiting cycle at the next update. <strong>DL [player_tooltip player_id="119073" first="Jahsear" last="Whittington"] (Imhotep Charter)</strong> Whittington committed to Pittsburgh last week but also received an offer from Michigan shortly afterward. <strong>CB Kenny Woseley Jr. (Imhotep Charter)</strong> Woseley Jr picked up offers from Georgia, Michigan, and Syracuse this month. <strong>DB [player_tooltip player_id="141985" first="Khari" last="Reid"] (Neumann &amp; Goretti)</strong> Reid picked up offers from Boston College and Syracuse this month. <strong>OL [player_tooltip player_id="97972" first="Peter" last="Jones"] (Malvern Prep)</strong> Jones was offered by Oklahoma and Texas A&amp;M recently, the Malvern Prep offensive tackle is one of the nation’s top prospects at the position in the class of 2024. Expect the offers to keep coming in for Jones. <strong>WR [player_tooltip player_id="255045" first="Rico" last="Scott"] (Bishop McDevitt)</strong> The Bishop McDevitt wide receiver saw both Louisville and West Virginia offer this month. <h5><strong>2025:</strong></h5> <strong>QB [player_tooltip player_id="154352" first="Stone" last="Saunders"] (Bishop McDevitt)</strong> Our top prospect in the class of 2025 Saunders picked up big offers from Louisville and Syracuse this month, he also made a trip to the University of Michigan. <strong>LB [player_tooltip player_id="255078" first="Anthony" last="Sacca"] (St. Joes Prep)</strong> The Penn State legacy’s recruitment is off to a blazing start as he is quickly becoming one of the nation’s top prospects. His latest offers include the defending national champions, Georgia Bulldogs as well as the Texas A&amp;M Aggies.
