We continue our series of looking into each position of the Class of 2027 and shining the spotlight on the un-offered, under the radar athletes that coaches need to be aware of before summer rolls around. Time is ticking too with camps starting as soon as Thursday with the Ignite camp down in Milwaukee. The QB position is the focus position of today's article, and it is a deep position. We have nine athletes who are ready to impress with the work they have put in this offseason, and it will be up to college coaches to come in, identify the talent, and do their best to get them on their rosters. There is something for everyone in this group. Dive in!

I have been so impressed by Eli and the career he has put together while being the QB for Kewaskum. The main reason is the dedication, time, and effort he puts into his craft. This kid is working nonstop and it is translating to the field where you see the strides in his game year over year. The 6'2" 190 lbs athlete is going to continue his climb up our rankings because of it. Watching his clips from training it is amazing to see the arm strength and velocity he is able to put on the ball. It absolutely jumps out of his hand and holds that velocity all the way to the receiver no matter where he is on the field. The mechanics to get the ball out are razor sharp too. Quick feet, fast and concise release, and very efficient overall movements while delivering the ball. Plus he has always been an accurate passer. The current QB5 is in hot pursuit of a higher ranking. Coaches, don't overlook the Kewaskum product.

Austin is a very intriguing dual threat QB who checks a lot of boxes that will translate to the next level. As a passer Austin has access to the entire field with arm strength and accuracy to be able to drop it in a bucket 50 yards downfield, fit it into a window on a quick slant, and everything in between. Even with his runnign ability, Austin is a QB who is going to try and win with his arm first. When he does have to lean on his legs it is still dangerous for the defense. Austin can get the edge and pick up big chunks of yards with his speed. That mobility is also outstanding at keeping the play alive within the pocket and escaping the pocket. Munzel is definitely one of the top names to know in the QB class of 2027.

Muskego's [player_tooltip player_id='1300195' first='Joey' last='Shaw'] is a very interesting developmental recruit. He has less passing experience than a lot of the rest of the athletes on his list because of the offense he leads, but the raw tools can't be overlooked. Joey's top trait is his elite athleticism. The highlights so several clips of how agile, explosive and elusive he can be in traffic. His natural athleticism and balance also open the door to him being able to get the ball out on the move and from some wild arm and body angles. That natural arm talent shines in those scenarios because of how accurate Joey is still able to be. This summer is going to be huge for Joey as he gets several chances to throw in front of college coaches and give them an updated look of where he is at.

Another potentially high ceiling, raw QB prospect to get eyes on this summer is [player_tooltip player_id='1870508' first='Ethan' last='Forrett']. Ethan has a great frame at 6'4" 220 lbs, giving him the ability to put a lot of momentum and force into the football and baseball. Watching through his highlights I came away impressed with how he could quick set and get the ball out in an instant to hit slants on a rope. The 2027 could also drop back and really let it rip downfield. A lot of the field is open to the big man. Ethan also uses that massive frame to do some damage with his legs between the tackles. I'm excited to see the type of leap he has made since last season.

This will be an interesting recruitment to follow. DeAndre is a dominant dual threat QB on offense, but also a very athletic and explosive DB on defense. He will be apart of the Kaukauna roster this fall, so it will be interesting to see where he will be playing on Friday nights. It will also be interesting to see where he plays throughout the summer at camps. While DeAndre is extremely athletic and could very easily play DB at the next level, you can't just bypass his potential as a QB. The ball is electric coming out of his hand with impressive power. It looks easy for him to uncork it and push the ball 40+ yards downfield accurately. He is also very poised within the pocket, trusting that his feet can get him out of any pressure situations. Have an open mind when diving into Williamson.

Jordan slings it all over the field. He has that gunslinger feel to his game, picking apart defenses with accurate passes. Jordan has highlights showing him make every throw you could want. He has the deep range with touch. You see the timing and velocity to thread needles into tiny holes. He can throw on the run or rollout and quickly reset to get the ball out. While making every throw in the book Jordan was also completing about 70% of his passes. The '27 is leaned on in the Waukesha South offense and every season we are seeing him step up to the plate more and more. I'm pumped to see him this spring and summer.

Troy is a small school QB who is an absolute gamer. The kid has that special knack for just finding a way to make things work. His athleticism gets him out of trouble throughout his highlights and leads to a lot of big plays. It is clear he has natural arm strength. The '27 doesn't need his feet set to get the ball out either, but when he does you see the range to the deeper third of the field. His poise within the pocket allows him to find guys last second to flip the ball to on short passes. Troy should put up good testing numbers this summer, and from there it will be interesting to watch where he is at with his development as a passer.

This is a fun QB to watch! Trent spent 2025 showing off his talents as a dual threat athlete. Trent checks in at 6' 200 lbs, and that RB build matches how he plays when he tucks the ball and runs. Trent plays with the instincts of an RB, picking through trash and setting up blocks. Then exploding through gaps and hitting that second gear into the open field. Plus he can run through arm tackles and gain yards after contact. As a passer the highlights are loaded with examples of his deep ball accuracy with him dropping it into receivers in stride. When you get deeper into the tape you see more of the window throws on short-intermediate throws where he still does great with his accuracy and timing. Trent is definitely a sleeper in this group. He has the tools to put together an impressive camp circuit.

Connor is a QB that I believe will continue to climb up this list. He is a technically sound passer, and the ball jumps out with more velocity than what you see from a lot of high school QBs. That arm strength is clutch on several throws where he can't step into it or get his feet perfectly set. The kid is a gamer too. When things break down he finds a way to make things happen outside of the original structure of the play. It is also great to see he completed just shy of 62% of his passes as a junior too. The signal caller should be able to put together a great summer showing off his accuracy, effective range on his passes, and timing.
